Dr Anna Plevri is an Assistant Professor at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
Before her election to AUTH in 2023, she was for a decade a Professor at the Law School of the University of Nicosia in Cyprus.
She teaches Civil Procedural Law (Civil Procedure), Arbitration and Mediation, and also researches the interface between law, justice and technology, judicial systems and digital justice.
She is the founder of 'Thessaloniki Legal Tech & Justice Forum', devoted to issues and applications of technology and artificial intelligence in judicial proceedings.
She has served as Special Teaching and Research Staff at the AUTH Law School and as Visiting Professor on postgraduate programmes at the International Hellenic University and the University of Western Macedonia.
She is currently Visiting Professor on a postgraduate programme at the University of Macedonia.

She has undertaken further training on various professional programmes in Greece, Italy, Germany, England, Switzerland, the United States and elsewhere.
She frequently takes part as a speaker/trainer/lecturer in judicial training programmes run by the National School of Judges.
She is a member of the editorial boards and an academic contributor to several legal journals.
She has written 6 books on civil procedure, arbitration and mediation, dozens of related studies in Greek and in English, as well as case notes on court judgments; her work is very frequently cited in hundreds of judicial decisions and by legal scholars.
In addition to Greek, she speaks English and has a reading knowledge of German.
She is one of the few women arbitrators to have been ranked by WWL & Global Arbitration Review among the Future Leaders 2024 for Greece, and by Lexology among the Arbitration Future Leaders 2026 for Greece.

Theodoros A. Falelakis
Attorney-at-law | PhD Candidate, AUTh | Specialisation: New Technologies & Dispute
Theodoros A. Falelakis was born and raised in Chania and is an attorney-at-law, a member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association.
He is a PhD Candidate at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the Department of Civil and Civil Procedural Law, with a thesis on New Technologies and the Resolution of Private Disputes, focusing on the use of innovative methods — such as blockchain and artificial intelligence platforms — in the administration of justice in civil proceedings. He holds an English-language LL.M. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in European Business and Economic Law, completing his dissertation on 'Blockchain and rule of law'. He is certified in data protection (DPO), blockchain technology, arbitration and AI, and has completed an internship in the Compliance Risk Management department of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank.
He has published articles in international and Greek legal journals and websites, focusing on questions of civil procedural law, new technologies, data protection, and European and international law generally.
He has participated in and coached numerous teams in international competitions, moots and academic activities [National Moot Court Competition (2026); John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition in Geneva (2025) and in Kyiv (2020); Thracing on MIC (2021); Rhodes MRC (2019); ThessIsMUN (2019); the 2020 Summer School on Refugee Law run by the Centre for Refugee Law and Migration together with the UNHCR Representation in Skopje].
He is a member of the European Legal Tech Association and of Rythmisis (2025). He has previously served as Auditor (2021–2022), Treasurer (2020–2021) and Special Adviser (2019–2020) of the European Law Students' Association Greece and Komotini; as a member of the drafting and editing team of Just in Case (2021–2023); as an analyst for the Association of International & European Affairs (2021–2023); as a member of the Research and Organising Team of the Krateros Ioannou Research Institute for International Law and Relations (2018–2022); as a member of the Editorial Board of the Expressis Verbis Law Journal (2020–2021); and as a member of the Balkans-In-Site Observatory of Polls & Politics (2020–2021).
Marilena Batou
Trainee Lawyer | LL.M. Candidate in Commercial Law, AUTh
Marilena Batou is a trainee lawyer, registered with the Thessaloniki Bar Association since March 2025.
She graduated with distinction and is a graduate of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is currently enrolled on the postgraduate programme in Commercial Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
During her studies she was actively involved with the European Law Students' Association (ELSA), holding, among other positions, those of Vice-President for Marketing of ELSA Thessaloniki (2022–2023) and Vice-President for Moot Court Competitions of ELSA Greece (2023–2024), in which capacity she headed the 10th National Moot Court Competition, demonstrating strong organisational and administrative skills.
She has at the same time developed a substantial scholarly and academic interest, taking an active part in organising and attending a wide range of legal and academic activities, conferences and competitions. Her interests centre in particular on commercial and civil law, alternative dispute resolution, and the interface between law and technology. She has published on these subjects and serves on the editorial board of the Expressis Verbis Law Journal in the field of Civil Procedure (2025–2026).
She also has considerable experience in moot courts, simulations and international competitions, most notably her distinction as a competitor in the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition (2021–2022) and in the 1st ELSA Negotiation Competition (1st ENC) (2020–2021), representing the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Her professional and academic activity centres on commercial and civil law, civil procedure and alternative dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on the contemporary interface between law and technology. Bringing a strong theoretical grounding together with practical experience, she pursues continuous academic development and the provision of high-level legal services, with consistency and professionalism.
She has an excellent command of Greek and English, and a good command of French.
Milena Pavlidou
Trainee Lawyer | LL.M. Candidate in Innovation & Technology Law, University of Edinburgh
Milena Pavlidou is a first-class graduate in Law from the University of Nicosia and a postgraduate student in Technology and Innovation Law at the University of Edinburgh.
She is an accredited AI Ethicist from the University of Oxford and a research member of the London Initiative for Safe AI, the Center for AI & Digital Policy, and Rythmisis, the National Institute for Artificial Intelligence Law, Data Protection and Digital Governance.
She also holds professional certifications in Computer Science for AI from Harvard University and in Machine Learning from Stanford University.
She specialises in the responsible governance and regulation of Artificial Intelligence, combining legal training (the EU AI Act, ISO 42001 and others) with applied technical knowledge of computer science.
